You’re NintenDoing It Wrong

We take OBJECTION to these gamers!

#570 – Points for trying. That’s the only thing we are authorized to award in this episode because we’re featuring some spectacular fails! Epic fails, some might even say. These Nintendo fans either weren’t fans at all, or they were having VERY off days. Get a kick out of this compilation, or at least feel better that YOUR picture isn’t being circulated like this on the Internet.

What Nintendo Has Taught Us

Also we’ve learned to dislike money!

#599 – Nintendo has been around our whole lives, and when we take the time to stop and reflect on it, it turns out: we’ve learned quite a lot from the quirky Japanese game publisher. We knew Nintendo was fun and creative, but also a source of life lessons? Why not! Simeon and Scott have a list, as well as some great additions from Two Button Crew patrons. Thanks, Crew!

Browsing Nintendo’s Website History

We have stepped into the time machine. We brought you a souvenir from the past!

#542 – Something Nintendo dedicates a lot of time, money, and effort to, but most fans don’t pay attention to: their website. Yes, they’ve been updating their home on the web for many years, and it’s seen a ton of different iterations. Those iterations? We’ve found the most interesting ones and put them into this video for you!

What Gaming Life Hacks Work?

How many hacks would a wouldhack hack?

#571 – So many games to play, such little time. The only way we’re ever going to make it is if we hone our efficiency to a razor sharp edge! That’s where these Gaming Life Hacks come in, to save you time, stress, and in some cases, money. Thank us later! (Or now, in the comments.)

Mario + Minions: IP Battle

#585 – Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle hits store shelves (and eShop) today! To celebrate this monumental partnership with Nintendo, we’re looking back on where the Rabbids came from. Their humble origins started with an Ubisoft launch game on Wii, and they’ve skyrocketed to success ever since. Come for a trip down memory lane with us!

Beat it Blind: Super Mario Bros. (SNES)

We went for twice as long, but got no further. It’s tough to give no for an answer.

Can the Crew meld their teamwork power together in order to pass World 1-1 of the original Super Mario Bros? Watch and see!

The 2018 Super Mario Cereal OLYMPICS!

We drove 6 hours and got 2 boxes of Super Mario Cereal, so what did we decide to do? A boring taste-test? No! We went full on “Olympics” with this new crunchy, marshmallowy goodness. Nintendo Board Games

UNO!

#573 – Every once in a while, we need to step away from our entertainment sets and our handhelds. If only to prevent carpal tunnel, a healthy round of board games every so often goes a long way for the average Nintendo fan! But what if gaming and board gaming could unite in a glorious happy medium? NOW we’re talking.

This is What a GOOD Mario RPG Looks Like

Super Mario RPG is one of Simeon’s favorite games! Modern-day Mario RPGs have since lost their way, but it’s always a good time when you throw it back to this Nintendo/Square partnership. Simeon will even show us a few impressive secrets along the way!

Switch – Top 5 Pros & Cons

And the top con is… JOY!

With a handful of weeks under our belt, we’re growing accustomed to playing the new Nintendo Switch! Nintendo made some bold promises with their first console/portable hybrid machine, but they’ve also managed to deliver in many ways! There are some concerns shared among players, and these are things that hopefully Nintendo can continue to address. For anyone deciding whether or not to purchase Switch, this is a great video for you to watch in order to get a feel on what’s positive about the system and what’s on the negative side of the experience. For those that already own the new system, see if you agree with our takeaways!

Zelda: BotW Challenge – Infiltrating Ganon’s Castle

Can you imagine what we’d do if we just beat the game while making this episode… accidentally?!

Can we make it into Ganon’s castle, with only early-game items and armor?! Ryan, Simeon, and Scott take turns with the pair of Joy-Con to see what they can do against the Malice and Guardians. Spoiler disclaimer: We approach the endgame, but do NOT meet the final boss.

Mario Kart Woes & Zelda Whoas

We’ve got better games to play than Mario Kart! Close your eyes and pick something off the eShop.

#510 – Zelda Breath of the Wild is a tough act to follow, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe certainly falls short in that regard. The racing game has its charm and its place in the Switch owners’ collection, but it also has some major design problems that frustrate the player, and makes them want to go back to Zelda!

January Nintendo Direct?!?!?!

It really happened! What started as a rumor, and turned it to a leak, finally materialized as a bona fide mini-presentation from Nintendo themselves, outlining what kind of games we can expect to be playing between now and E3. It wasn’t half-bad!

But Simeon and Scott thought this through and have come up with some of the strongest candidates. What game would you take? Comment below!
