Nintendo’s handling of DLC has been a very mixed bag. I think season passes are fine – they very reasonably priced the additional courses and characters for Mario Golf: World Tour on the 3DS, but it could be argued that roughly $4-5 a pop for a new character in Smash Bros is a bit on the expensive side. If one were to get all of the DLC, it would over double the price of the 3DS version. The upcoming Fire Emblem DLC on 3DS totals like $45 I think. Free DLC like what is promised for ARMS is great, though. So it truly is a mixed bag with them, in my opinion.
