Calling GameStop: A Simulation

We’ve all done it. We’ve called GameStop with a question, listened to the employee’s big speel at the beginning, then been disappointed by their answer. Yet we keep calling. It’s the definition of insanity! In order to point out the absurdity of this cycle, Simeon and Scott have created a simulation of calling GameStop which will be demonstrated for you in this video.

This mysterious WiiWare game was annouced by SEGA and seemed to go mysteriously quiet. What really happened was they released it in Japan only and never localized it! Pole’s Big Adventure looked like a super fun and quirky spoof of beloved 8-bit platforming games. We’ll let you know what we missed out on stateside!

Minority Report: Everybody Runs A Masterpiece of Ludo-Narrative Dissonance

Several months ago while at a used game store, my older brother found and bought a copy of Minority Report: Everybody Runs for the GameCube, the licensed tie-in game for the 2002 film, Minority Report. His rationale was that he thought it’d be good for a laugh. Then we more or less forgot about it until a few weeks ago. My two brothers and I were hanging out one evening when Kyle, the aforementioned eldest, suggested we play the game and pass around the controller. Not having anything better to do, we shruggingly agreed. I have to admit, my brother was right: the game is absolutely hilarious in all the wrong ways. Nintendo Pronunciations… Wrong All Along?

Did we cross any lines in this episode? Barely not? Okay!

Your heroes, Simeon and Scott, have gone on a journey to discover the true pronunciations of all things Nintendo and this video contains their findings. The Puppet Show Episode

It hurts to be a puppet. An ADULT puppet? Downright painful.

#547 – Fun fact: The first video Simeon and Scott made together (about 15 years ago) was a puppet show. Well, they’re getting the band back together, pulling socks over their hands, and crouching underneath a tiny table. For your enjoyment. You’re welcome!

The Improvised Episode

How would you describe the chances that Simeon and Scott have a future in improv comedy? Eh, eh?

#546 – What does this episode contain? We don’t know! Usually the decription area of our videos is for giving you an idea of what is going to be discussed on the show, but today’s different… we’re going completely off the noggin! No notes, no topics, no outline. What will we talk about?

The Nonspecific Action Figure Special

Everyone, retrieve your Smash Ballots, cross out “Bayonetta” for goodness sake, and write this wonderful man in!

Nonspecific Action Figure, the mysterious mascot that helped introduce us to the Wii U. Quickly forgotten, NSAF didn’t quite get to enjoy his time in the spotlight that he deserved. Well, we’re going to do our best to rectify that issue and spend an entire video talking about him, his plasticness, that mask, those muscles, wings, and sword?! NSAF, who are you? Where did you go? And for the love of Sakurai, WHY AREN’T YOU IN SUPER SMASH BROS?

Hilarious Wii Slang

Wii would like to slang.

You thought Wii-related jokes had run their course? Not even close. A decade later, Simeon and Scott are revisiting the issue with an enhanced vocabulary of Wii puns and slang that you’ve never even imagined. The Nintendo Wii seemed like it was getting a big downgrade when it received its official name. The codename, Revolution, seemed much more fitting. But if Wii is responsible for allowing us these kinds of puns, we daresay that it was all worth it.
