Making Sense of Shovel Knight Versions

Remember the simple old days where a whole game was just on a cartridge?

Shovel Knight, once a humble Kickstarter campaign, has snowballed to become a massive undertaking for its developers. Stretch goal upon stretch goal were smashed by the game’s enthusiastic fanbase of supporters, ultimately leading to some bloat and confusion as the project ages. True to their weird, developer Yacht Club games is keeping their end of the bargain by updating the original purchaser’s games with the new features, campaigns, and modes, but THAT is precisely where the simplicity ends. Watch on to see what we mean.

What are the Best 1-2-Switch Games?

6 out of 28 is a passable grade, right?

The compilation of mini-games that launched with the Nintendo Switch is a compilation of party games. The title appears to have had a pretty short development cycle, too. As a result, some of them are very much skippable! But, there are some standout games in the crowd that deserve to be played over and over again, and they’ll make you laugh every time. Here are the best ones!

How Switch Combines Past Systems

No idea why they didn’t mention the Virtual Boy at all…

The Nintendo Switch is the product of over 30 years of hardware manufacturing. Its designers learned a lot along the way, and have kept the best features of each console that proceeded it. The result is a Nintendo system that has a little bit of everything!

What If Mario Kart Was Real Life?

Lakitu save us.

As gamers, it can be easy to let fantasies of game worlds spill into our daily lives. One of those situations takes place behind the wheel. Have you ever wanted a red shell for that jerk in front of you on the highway? We apologize. But not really.

Can Switch Outsell Wii?!

Sure Kimishima! Whatever you say…

The new President of Nintendo has made some bold claims. Mr Kimishima believes that lightning has struck twice, and that Nintendo Switch can outsell even the Wii. Those are some big boots to fill! Simeon and Scott are here to discuss the implications of his statement, and determine whether or not those kind of sales figures are a possibility in today’s gaming climate.

Death of NES Classic Edition + SNES Rumors

Finally, Scott can say that he’s owned an SNES!

You’ve heard all the rumors, right? NES Classic Edition production is being ended, while it seems Nintendo is ramping up for the creation of the SNES Classic Edition. That’s good news; they seem to be starting earlier this year, so if all goes as planned, there should be a lot more Nintendo stocking stuffers to go around this year when they rerelease their “new” retro console. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Showdown

This episode was a real BLAST! We were so happy, it was like we were floating on BALLOONS!

MARIO KART 8 DELUXE! It’s all the rage, being Nintendo’s latest first-party release on Switch! And it’s an outstanding game, but we knew that of course, from playing the Wii U version. You may have caught us streaming online, but what you’ve yet to see is Scott and Simeon facing off in a kart duel. That’s right, with our Patreon supporter’s input, we’ve picked two battle modes to duke it out in. Are you #TeamSim or #TeamScott?

April Fools: Prank Calling Nintendo

No really! We prank called Nintendo! We’re not fooling you!

What better way to celebrate April Fools than to give your favorite company a call? We phoned a couple different customer service reps, and they were very helpful… even in the face of the complete nonsense that we were throwing at them. Note: Each Nintendo employee was given a perfect survery by Simeon and Scott.

500 episodes x 10 minutes per show = 83 hours of glorious Two Button Crew content. <3

#500 – The Two Button Crew show has just reached a MASSIVE milestone: today’s upload equals 500 shows on this channel. We’re halfway to a thousand, and we’re having a blast! But when someone shows up consistently and does something every day for 500 days in a row, you have to stop and ask what causes them to keep up all the hard work. That’s exactly what Simeon and Scott are talking about today, as they try their best to explain what it is that keeps TBC going. On this very special occasion, we’d like to thank you, the viewer who is reading this description, for your ongoing support. We do this for you.
