We Wrote our Video Game Wills 💀

Since we’re all gonna die, Simeon and Scott wrote their video game Wills so that their gaming belongings can be distributed at the time of their demise! What a fun video premise!

What Nintendo Has Taught Us

Also we’ve learned to dislike money!

#599 – Nintendo has been around our whole lives, and when we take the time to stop and reflect on it, it turns out: we’ve learned quite a lot from the quirky Japanese game publisher. We knew Nintendo was fun and creative, but also a source of life lessons? Why not! Simeon and Scott have a list, as well as some great additions from Two Button Crew patrons. Thanks, Crew!

Who Nintendo’s Target Audience REALLY Is

They would probably say the whole cheesy “5 to 105” line…

#515 – Who does Nintendo have in mind when they are developing their newest games? Is it people like you? Much younger? Older players? That’s the question that Simeon and Scott are examining in today’s episode of Two Button Crew!

Goodbye, Game Manuals

Scratch ‘n smell ya later!

#507 – Game manuals are… or were… paper booklets included in game cases. They would contain artwork, instructions, storyline information, maybe even cheatcodes! They were a wealth of entertainment and value, recently reduced to nothing more than black-and-white pamphlets, if not done away with altogether. Manuals, we miss you.

When We Were Newbs

Please forgive us for our ignorance.

#502 – Sure, we might LOOK like pros, but we were once a couple of newbs just like the general populous. We did things back in the day that make our more mature-gamer-selves cringe. But at least we’re man enough to admit those past shortcomings! Have you ever been a newb? Sure you were. Hopefully, you can relate to some of the funny stories we share in today’s episode of the Two Button Crew show!

What Genres are Nintendo Horrible At?

Trying to make our episode titles a little more SENSATIONAL!

We all know Nintendo loves their platformers – that’s the genre that they specialize in. But when they are the company that’s responsible for servicing fans of all kind that use their hardware (because third parties aren’t historically the most supportive), there are some genres that receive the cold shoulder. That neglect is either due to games with poor or questionable execution, or just no games to speak of at all. Have you ever thought about which types of games Nintendo is strong or weak in? Let us run you through a list of all the major genres.

Beat it Blind: Super Monkey Ball 2

How much sense do you think the command “backwards backwards foreward foreward” makes to you when you’re blindfolded?

If Super Monkey Ball 2 on the Nintendo Gamecube isn’t a big enough challenge for you, try to Beat It Blind! That’s the exact challenge that Scott and Simeon have before them today, using only the guidance of each other’s voice to complete the level. It’s no easy task, but they’ve proven in previous installments that teamwork can carry them across the finish line.
