Mario Kart Rock Paper Scissors

As you can see, our childhoods were clearly very entertaining.

Sometimes, plain old Rock Paper Scissors gets really boring. That’s when you have to invent your own version! And with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe releasing in North America yesterday, what better way to play RPS than with Mario Kart items? Indeed, the weapons in the Mario Kart series are balanced not unlike rock, paper, or scissors, where some are more effective against others, and can be countered by others still. Join Simeon and Scott as they do what they do best – goof off!

Death of NES Classic Edition + SNES Rumors

Finally, Scott can say that he’s owned an SNES!

You’ve heard all the rumors, right? NES Classic Edition production is being ended, while it seems Nintendo is ramping up for the creation of the SNES Classic Edition. That’s good news; they seem to be starting earlier this year, so if all goes as planned, there should be a lot more Nintendo stocking stuffers to go around this year when they rerelease their “new” retro console. What If Mario Kart Was Real Life?

Lakitu save us.

As gamers, it can be easy to let fantasies of game worlds spill into our daily lives. One of those situations takes place behind the wheel. Have you ever wanted a red shell for that jerk in front of you on the highway? Things would sure be a lot more interesting on the road if drivers were given Mario Kart items and Mario Kart rules to play by. Imagine with us! We’ve made a list of all the best, hot 3d party games that we want to play on our Nintendo hardware!

April Fools: Prank Calling Nintendo

No really! We prank called Nintendo! We’re not fooling you!

What better way to celebrate April Fools than to give your favorite company a call? We phoned a couple different customer service reps, and they were very helpful… even in the face of the complete nonsense that we were throwing at them. Note: Each Nintendo employee was given a perfect survery by Simeon and Scott.

Can Switch Outsell Wii?!

Sure Kimishima! Whatever you say…

The new President of Nintendo has made some bold claims. Mr Kimishima believes that lightning has struck twice, and that Nintendo Switch can outsell even the Wii. Those are some big boots to fill! Simeon and Scott are here to discuss the implications of his statement, and determine whether or not those kind of sales figures are a possibility in today’s gaming climate.

Pokemon TCG: Old Vs. New Cards

Basic Pokemon Charizard, I choose you! Quick, use Fire Spin for 1 colorless energy!

Simeon and Scott are fans of Nintendo and Pokemon from the golden age. They’re “gen 1ers” if ever there were any. So, naturally, this episode is based entirely on singing the praises of the first few expansions of Pokemon cards and bashing everything that’s come out in the last decade… NO, not really, but there’s a little bit of that. ;) Game Footage Credit: CGRundertow, TheJWittz

Yamauchi and His Enemies

The Iron Fist in the Silk Glove.

Hiroshi Yamauchi was one of Nintendo’s former presidents, who oversaw the company through its formative years of becoming a video game powerhouse. His leadership style was harsh, and his legacy is controversial. He was a very different man than Iwata or Kimishima that we have come to know and love, so let’s take a look at how he differed and how he helped Nintendo become what it is today.

E3 2017: What Nintendo Needs to Do

Anyone at Nintendo looking to hire a couple of professional E3 consultants?

E3 (AKA Gamer Christmas) is coming around the corner once again, and this year will mark the first time Switch content has been shown at the convention. Will Nintendo take this opportunity to get everyone on board the hype train, or will they play it too conservative? Scott and Simeon are presenting their wishlist, and if Nintendo were to follow it, their fans would be pretty happy.
